Betrayed

He once told me he loved me,
But it was just a lie,
A trap of men and love,
She was supposed to be my best friend,
Some one I could trust,
But as life goes,
Trust is only for a little while,
Eventually you can depend on only yourself,
Every single person you thought you knew is against you,
That is when you find out who your real friends are,
When you’re in your time of need,
Those who stand beside you,
No matter the cause,
But eventually they betray you too.
