The pressure is on
As everyone intently watches.
One mistake
Could be the end.
Trust is nonexistent
Along with patience.
She dreams of proving them wrong
But self doubt is drowning her thoughts
As she claims she will not go back.
They all wait
For her to fall.
Through her watery eyes
She silently waits, too.
Knowing they are right
Hurts the most.
Dreams are set aside,
Pushed just out of reach.
She must, now,
Focus on this moment.
Nothing else matters,
Only staying strong.
