Façade
Love for a day
 That’s what it felt like
 Holding hands, smiling
That’s as deep as it got

Yet as I watched you walk away
 My heart was crushed
 Unknowing of your feelings
Unknowing of your intentions in the first place

 Eventually you come back
 All smiles and pleads
Knowing that I will say “Okay”

Self inflicted pain is all it is
All it turns out to be
 No real feelings
 No real caring

 Just a smile
 And façade

 That’s all you are
