Maybe One Day,We'll Be Close Again.
Maybe if they knew,
are not you,
for you are me.
I've created you,looking for someone
to care for me,
You took everything that's made me myself,
And now,it's you.
They only see you for what you are,
Which is me.
You're a mimicry,you aren't real.
I've watched you change,
I've felt you push me away,
I've seen you steal my spotlight,
when I needed it most.
I've been held down,
But you never realized,
You aren't as amazing as you feel.
The world, will continue to spin once your spirit embarks,
and when your body will lay breathless on the floor,
It won't be me,to make the call,
It won't be me to send the flowers.
I laid my trust in you,
for far too long.
I was stupid to believe,
I could actually believe I had a better friend,
I've been down this road, once before,
Now it's made twice.
I'll never make this mistake again,
Best friends are a myth,
An easy escape from humiliation,
And I've been used as an escape route once too many times.
I'll leave it be,
I don't know when I'll be better.
Even in my condition, you couldn't care.
I lied awake,
Close to the edge of my life,
An entire night, just hoping you of all people would care,
I showed you my marks.
I gave you my world,
I shared with you my pain.
And all I have to show for it,
is one less friend than I started with.
I see right through you, down into your cold-hearted core.
Lay your face in your sweaty palms and cry,
release your fears,
Lash out in anger,
Pretending to know me,
You don't know me as well
as you believe you always have,
We aren't as close as we were,
when you were you.
When I was me.
But once we are the same,
I have nothing left to say to you.
I miss you,
I'll always miss you,
When you weren't trying so hard,
Striving so sadly for acceptance,
You swear you know yourself,
But I can see right through you,
I've seen more truth in Satan himself.
I promise I didn't mean to let this happen,
Let you lose yourself.
Somehow,it's my fault,
You were right,
I am a different type of person.
But I know better than to lose myself to become someone new.
If you're urging so hard to leave,
You don't need me,
And clearly nor do you want me around,
I have nothing more to say.
Maybe one day you'll realize,
I've seen through you all along,
Maybe you'll decide,
I can't be the only one trying to make things better.
I'll miss you,
