"Our Deepest Fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure"

i was once on top of a snowy mountain

closest to the sun, a lemon in the sky

i now draw my past in the mirror

though perhaps unintentionally,

but that still does not mean

that there is nothing wrong with me

i was once full of a child's dreams

that would touch an evening starry sky

its worse when you know that once

you were happy but you don't remember why

sometimes i feel as if i'm falling

i'm a locket being tossed into the sea

the child that once was who i am

now sings, yet still a fading part of me

he walks through transparent walls

that have begun to shield my heart

he is some spirit that i leave within

a bit of hope that clings to every tear

below my feet, lies a puddle of love and sin

in my reflection, i see who i've become

This poem was inspired by past regrets and woes, missing those young innocent days when a hard decision was choosing between an apple juice box or an orange juice box. That little boy still lives if not in me, but in this poem.

thanks=) i actually felt a bit uncomfortable and slightly embarassed at showing people this particular piece..usually the ones i write for show aren't on such a personal level but still it feels good to let others know how i feel..never know who may feel the same way and get something from it=] but thanks for your comment.=]
