"When your life flashes before your eyes, make sure it's worth watching" - Unknown

The worn guitar
Lays sorrowfully on the shelf
Shivering in the damp wind
Its frayed strings strum
hopelessly
Music is lost
in the bowels of its wood

The grey sneaker cowers in the corner
Its knotted shoelaces
Strangle its space

The worn memories of a lot heart
The remains of an attempt at art

The author's comments:
This poem was inspired by a broken guitar that had been sitting on our PE bags shelves for a couple weeks. There was one dirty sneaker below it as well. Both of these neglected items made feel a bit sad and insprired me to write about the creation lost in them.
