Favorite Quote:
I think, therefore I am.

Those were the days,
when you slept in the shade.
Those were the days,
when you wore white linen because of the breeze.
Those were the days,
when shoes were novelties.
Those were the days,
when you rolled up your sleeves.
Those were the days,
when white tube socks held sanity.
Those were the days,
when the thought of the word made you shriek.
Those were the days,
with the taste of salt fresh on your lips.
Those were the days,
when instead of using a notebook, you chiseled your thoughts on to a stone slab.
Those were the days,
when the water turned your finger tips to a creased constancy.
Those were the days,
when your jazz hands had real pizzazz
Those were the days,
when irons were impartial
Those were the days,
when you read Parade.
Those were the days,
when you thought in Albanian.
Those were the days,
when the kitchen always smelled of fresh Chow Mein.
Those were the days,
when the Bamboozles visited.
Those were the days,
when the ocean caressed your mind.
Those were the days,
when “Ambition” was your middle name.
Those were the days,
when you dared to dream.
Yes.
Those were the days.

I was inspired to pen this poem by my own personal experince. Adolescence or "teendom" is a tough time, and naturally people change. I was just reminiscing about the good ol' days.
