Time and time again I’ve searched
Looking high and low
I thought I found a beautiful person
Someone who loved life, someone who believed in anything
Love for me is something more wonderful….
I really can’t explain it
Pain is inevitable, but suffering is only optional
My smiles are turning into frowns each and everyday
I don’t know how much more I can say
Without you....
I am myself,
A black ocean searching for color
I am myself,
Trying to find my inner mystery

I feel like it's really good, but could use some improvement. I feel like you can go on and do more with the poem, and I also feel like the beginning could use a little more originality. Don't get me wrong, though- it's your poem, and it's good.
