The Grey Man
He was birthed by the fires that burn beneath the earth
He was shaped by time itself
He is the tree reaching out to the sun
He is the bringer of the storms
He pulls the water from the sky
He is the ax that cuts down the great oak
He is the point of the dagger
He is the man who blows cold air
He is the danger in the lion’s eye
He is the subject of the story told in the night
He is the thundering of hooves
He stares down at you and me
He is the champion of kings
He is the watchful behemoth
He is the one to whom men bend the knee
He wields the power of the earth
He holds the sky high
He is the throat of the world
He is the home of the fearless
His pain echoes around the world
His tears fill the rivers and lakes
He is the passion behind the pioneer
He is the voice that beckons in the distance
I look up and behold I see, his white hair and stone skin.
