Simple and Sweet
I don’t like to say I love you
To me
It doesn’t say enough
How can three measly words
Thrown into the wind without a second thought
Truly convey what I feel for you
How can the word love
So simple and sweet
Be what we use when true love is anything but
True love is what we have
And our love
Is like watching a stormy ocean from its depths
It is the first chilling breeze in a domestic winter
The fire in the eye of the lion before it pounces
The fragrance of the wildflowers after the first spring rain
It is every fleeting moment in the universe that conveys beauty
It’s not about sparking one good feeling
But burning your nerves with every emotion you can feel
Love is not simple
Love is not sweet
Love is every miraculous thing in between
