Fried Chicken

I sit with them at lunch
conversation about fried chicken happens
I eat with my hands
I get asked why don’t you eat with fork and knife
I like how it feels on my hands
The hot juicy and crispy chicken
The white people look at me weird
I give a sly smirk
They all ask me why are “you people so weird”
I get up to yell at them
But they say black people get mad too easily
So I sit back down
I wanna cry but I cannot show weakness
So I tell them to learn about my culture before they make fun
One kid looks at me and apologizes
