The Magic Of Reading
Have you ever read something
With mediocre expectations
But from the very first page
Are the words big in your brain
In such little a space?
Do the words have rhythm
A beat
Ringing in your ears?
Like grandma telling a story
That only you can hear?
Has the words captivated you
Pulling you in?
Do you wish you wrote the story
Gave it your own spin?
Does reading feel so fast
Because time in our world stops (like Narnia!)
It resumes after one’s finished
Getting immersed
A rare occurrence
With very few words
Words that end so sudden
Until you consider
To pick it up again
