11 Month Desire
I have been craving this taste for far too long.
It tastes like an 11 month wait.
I envision the Turkey, so soft,
melting in my mouth, like snow in the spring,
The warmth like a hot sunny day
with a crispy shell and soft inners,
The steam swirling like the red and white of a candy cane
from the shredded turkey filled insides,
A golden brown color on the baked shell
kissed by the stove,
Passed out in dozens
distributed evenly among my family,
A Thanksgiving taste only two months away,
a dish that tastes like pure satisfaction
Making a promise to myself,
To eat more turkey turnovers than last year!

This might be the best thanksgiving food to exist.
