Why is there so much literature with fairy-tale endings

What about the real-world problems

What about the stuff you can’t get away from no matter how far you run

What about the inequalities of life?

The people going hungry in the streets

The people whose bed consists of a tattered sleeping bag, and a dirty shirt for a pillow

The people who are working in factories instead of getting an education

The people who are willing to start WWIII over poisoned water?

Is our society telling us that because they don’t have the opportunity to have a fairy-tale ending, their story isn’t worth telling

Is our society telling us that we have to set aside stories that could impact lives,

just to allow room for another fairy tale?

Why is there so much literature with fairy tale endings

What about the people whose prince charming never comes

What about the people whose fairy godmother is the person who gifted a few coins into the used fast-food cup sitting beside them on the sidewalk;

watching passersby through what feels like a magic mirror?
