Scene Of Silver
The hazy bounded skyline
Brushed evergreen by trees and bushes aged like fine wine
The seeds of peace and tranquility sow
In my heart that’s lately been just fine
Tall proud and slim it thinly stands like a pine.
Staring off as long as I could
As the sun shies behind the dim dusk horizons
Sad lone clouds come in twos and ones
Inviting the rain and masking its shines
Sorrows and joys, darkness and lights, nature’s rhymes.
It sets the scenery for a dreamland with no elf and no fairy
To receive the silver drops of wonder, to pay respects to the raging thunder
Sadly, slowly but surely, a faint bluish faze in sight
Conveys the ending of this dream’s plight.
The gentle patter down the roof
The humbling wrath of thunder that keeps us aloof
Echoing across the silent forests, and the cold ground
Whole and all around, gracefully renowned is this sound
Accompanying the silver raindrops I see fall abound.
As the drenched evening bleeds into midnight
Into a memorable sight, trees of green and mountains of white
The silver scenery remains freshly painted for a some seconds on the humbled hills
And eternally in my soul, ink of my heart’s quills.
