Confused

it snuck up on me
wrapped it’s arms around my mouth
so I couldn’t scream
but I didn’t want to
cuz, what was this feeling?
i didn’t know
it was weird
they’d just told me
what would happen
i didn’t know
it wasn’t a part of me like usual
just smothered me
under it’s weight
but i didn’t fight
opposites flashed behind
my eyes
i didn’t know what to say
what was it?
