Bathroom spider
My depression is like a spider in a bathroom.
Most of the times, You don’t even know it’s there .
In fact you will only noticed it when sleep clings to your eyes,
And your mind feels half paralyzed.
It is only a feeling At first
One that can be shrugged off
But then it grows.
I squint before I make my decision by then I am awake.
Once I see it for what it is I will not go into the bathroom for days.
Until I forget it was even there.
But it is.
A small part of me knows that it is.
I open the door slowly and peek inside,
And there she is.
She was waiting.
Creating a beautiful Web of sorrow
I start to squeak out a greeting To an old acquaintance
“Hello again
Is it already that time of year
It just seemed so short are you sure-“
I say before I cut myself short
I take a step back agents the door and slide down with a defeated cold taste on my tongue
“I thought you were gone”
“You always do”
My depression is a spider in a bathroom
