If I Was A Boxer

If I was a boxer
Id prefer to box myself.
To throw a right hook,
And have myself catch it.
To follow with a lefty uppercut
And to be able to brace for the impact.
To know my own ins and outs,
My own rights and wrongs,
To keep them all in check.
Until there are two of me,
And it appears as if we are dancing in the ring,
Waiting for a move that hasn’t already been known.
For the fight to be perfectly balanced.
For myself to be perfectly balanced.
