My Best Friend
My best friend is like the sky,
wide and wild, vast and free,
impossible to chain.
Her eyes are as deep as eternity,
like stars without beginnings,
poems with no end.
Her laugh is like a paintbrush,
sculpting the blank canvas of silence
into color and movement and life.
Her tears are as bright
and dangerous
as diamond-bladed knives.
Her smile is like a prism,
shattering the world
into rainbows and light.
