Having Five Brothers with No Sisters
Living in a family
where girls are outnumbered.
Being the child
that everyone recognizes.
Adjusting to guy activities,
like hunting and fishing.
My friends giving me weird looks
when I tell them that I can put my own worm on for bait.
Driving to locations
that revolve around fishing.
Hearing others say,
“Your brothers must spoil you.”
Fully aware that they do not
and just nodding my head and smiling.
Dad’s favorite.
Mom’s best friend.
The only girl.
What more can one girl ask for?
