2022 Traditions Contest: Still Awake at Night
Watching TV on Friday night,
My favorite time of day.
Interruptions and annoyances,
An emotion-filled time.
Chewing and drama stewing,
The best time of day.
Gossiping and shopping,
Sitting on the computer.
The movie forgotten,
Food all eaten,
At 11,
Time stops.
Lights go off,
Blankets come up,
The house goes silent,
As dawn nears.
Some sleep,
Others creep.
Dreaming and dawdling,
Forgotten Callings
Laughter ensues,
the hushed whisper of the night.
And when Morning arrives,
The rest rise.

Anyway, Sorry for getting carried away. But, your poem was nice!!!☆☆☆
I wanted to write about watching movies with my family on Friday nights, but the poem developed into how my sister and I don't go to sleep and stay up watching TV or talking for the rest of the night.
