I couldn't wait to find my prince charming.

I wanted love just like mommy and daddy had.

I wanted to have someone hold my hand while we shopped.

I wanted to kiss the frog just like the princess did.

I wanted the relationship the older kids had.

Prince charming doesn't exist.

Mommy and daddy got a divorce.

I don’t want to be touched.

Frogs are gross.

And the older kids broke up.

this is a better in memory poem about viewing love as a child vs now.
