When I breathe in hard it hurts. The pain strikes my chest, my fists clench.

Looking outside at a world of chaos. Hope slowly fading. I’ve accepted it.

Accepted the white noise, hearing the trees sway and whisper away. Howling wind.

My legs are tired and my shoulders heavy from all the baggage.

The baggage I have to carry around everywhere I go is no one's fault but mine. Acceptance.  Accepting nothing seems real, accepted I now push people away. Been hurt too many times to try again.

Melancholy, I’m sorry I look down. “Turn that frown upside down” they say.

Would they say that if they saw my arms, the lingering darkness around. Don’t pity me.

Learn from the mistakes we make and accept you cannot change the past but can better the future. Acceptance is pure and peaceful.

Acceptance is beautiful.

Finally realizing self mistakes and where you went wrong and how to fix it and be better is a good feeling. It's peaceful. It takes a lot to say "I was wrong" but once we finally do and let go, we can be free, be better. I hope this helps who ever is reading to not be afraid of acceptance. Even if you have to accept something you don't want to like your crush liking someone else, accepting it and then moving is powerful! Go get someone else! Don't get held back.
