I think of you every year I light the candles on my birthday cake.
And I wonder if you would’ve liked who you became.
You always looked forward to meeting me.
Yet, I dread meeting you.
Im afraid you’ll be disappointed in me.
And I am nervous to see who I used to be.

I think about meeting my younger self a lot. I think my biggest thing about it, is that I probably wouldn't be able to look at who I was, not because of anything I did but because of what I went through.
