As I opened my eyes,

To my surprise,

I heard loud rain,

I looked out my window, leaving my pillow,

I walked towards it,

For miles all I saw were big bright green trees,

The peace this brought me could’ve last many centuries,

The grey clouds stirred,

Lighting up with flashes of lightning,

It was all zen,

Never ever frightening,

I’d have to say the slow rumble was quite delight-ing.

The winds howl never seemed foul,

Although if I stepped out,

I’d surely need a towel,

The strikes of lightning were the size of skyscrapers,

All the stormy weather made me want to stay inside and read my papers,

All though the strikes were stunning,

The heavy downpour is what kept this all running,

What started as a drop has turned into a big something,

The lightning seemed angry like it was telling the clouds that it was no dummy,

I looked down at the woods, when I heard thumping,

Suddenly I saw a family of deer,

They looked as frightened as if they saw a bear,

The storm was really taking its tear.

All the chaos made me want to enjoy a nice refreshing pear,

I found my puppy sleeping never scared,

These are the nice relaxing moments that could never ever compare,

Now I shall calm down and relax in my chair.

The universe must be a teenage girl. So much darkness, so many stars.<br /> --me

The title attracted me, but the rhyme seems forced and overall this could use a lot of work.
