The Sea and the Land
Rainy car drive,
Dots of water splatter the day,
splitter splatter splitter splatter down on the side
Great landscapes center beyond both ways wide
just like the waters of the sea centering beyond a ship,
A passenger on the ship, getting lost in her own imagination,
The Sea, The Land
both carry in wonder to the passenger,
ready to discover the unspoken,
she dived into the open,
determined to go into the closed.

This is a piece I wrote in the car when it was raining. The sky was dark and menacing, but the land looked soft and reached out so far and it made me wonder about the world.
