Friends gone
Blank pixels without presence
School out, what now?
Days filled with a
Summer routine:
Wake up
Eat breakfast
Violin
Walk the dog
Lunch
Piano
Spanish
Shower
Dinner.
Sleep
Repeat
But that’s false
So many things to do
There are much more details
That can be found in a
Summer routine
If you take time to
Appreciate the little things
The bedroom ceiling
Light is flickering
Huh, that’s weird
I never noticed
That before
Going up the steps,
A face peering down
With a bright bark of
Recognition
That white belly, so
Warm and soft
Fog sweeping
The mountain
Blue sky outside
What a pretty picture
My violin has new
Scratches
It still plays
Pretty well
I should be more
Careful next time
Wow, “Izquierda”
Means left in
Spanish
First time
I learned that
 On the piano,
An “E” is
Out of tune and fuzzy
It’s probably fine
Walking outside to
The backyard and
Revealing
New plants
Watering them
Is always a joy
August, a Month that
Truly matters
Summer break, yay!
Birthdays, a chance
To blow out a candle
Something special,
Once every year
It’s anything
But routine
Beautiful events
Can be found
Anywhere if
You look
Closely enough
It truly is a
Beautiful day in August.
