the forest calls
The forest calls
At first, it’s with a silent pull
A feeling that there is something for you
Something that can only be found past the border
Hidden away in the trees, something in you yearns for it
The forest calls
Now it’s a whispering nudge
A feeling that you can find better for yourself
Something that calls for you to take the plunge
Hidden away in the trees, something in you tells you to answer the call
The forest calls
It’s turned into an urging tug
A feeling that maybe the life you live is not meant for you
Something that calls for you to find the forest, to find what life is
Hidden away in the trees, something tells you to look away before you’re drawn in
The forest has called
It evolved into a yelling grip
A feeling that you will never know life, never know yourself outside of the trees
Something that shakes you, burns into your mind that your calling has always been and always will be where the forest grows
Hidden away in the trees, your life will begin anew
