Something that doesn't make me feel worthless, something that gives me a purpose

Poetry is my excuse
To have a purpose
To not be wordless for once
To embrace my emotions
Somehow
Someway
It heals hearts
With inflicting lasting emotion
I write my words with devotion
And writing the unspoken and broken things
Makes my heart more open
And hopefully
It creates someone else's emotions more woken
Poetry will always be my excuse
It gives me a personal purpose
There's purity in poetry
