Colors
“You really did it!” he said as i came out of my house with my hair dyed blue
Well he had always said that blue was his favorite
But then he started to love yellow
I wore sparkly yellow dresses
My yellow eyeshadow glistened in the sun
But it still wasn't enough
I tried wearing green and running through grassy meadows
I changed myself for him.
All these colors and he still didn't see.
Purple, orange, every color in the rainbow until I only had one left.
It has to be red.
“He has to love red” i thought as i was sitting on my bathroom floor.
I pressed a blade against my arm and watched as the red came running down
It painted the floor a beautiful crimson red
Why was he so sad when he saw the red i was covered in?
I did it for him can’t he see?
All i wanted was for him to be happy
“you really did it” he said as my lifeless body lay there cold
He bent down and whispered to me, “my favorite color was always gold”
someone that does everything for someone else and it still isn't good enough
