comfort
I find comfort in my bed
The soft plush pillows
The warm heavy blanket
Enveloping me in a protective hug
The only place my tired eyes rest
I find comfort in a sunday brunch
The food that makes any mouth salivate
The laugher ringing in my ears
The endless smiling faces surrounding me
The only time the worries evaporate
I find comfort in the shoes I wear
Thick rubber soles that take me places
Shoe laces I had to learn to tie
The shoes wrap around my feet
They never leave my side
I find comfort in the sunset
When day turns to night
A distant array of soft warm colors
The sun leaving and the moon rising
The sunset ends the boundless day
I find comfort in a paper back book
Hiding me from the disappointing world
Delierving me escapism
Teaching me lessons and stories
When the fantasy is sadly fiction
I find comfort in car rides
The constant change of scenery
The way the music blasts
The wind from the open window
Car rides make problems dissipate
I find comfort in letters
The ones my grandma writes
Thick cursive almost illegible
Pretty messages and wishes
For once not a text or email

I generated a list of things that bring me comfort, then wrote about them. Simple, I know. But very theraputic.
