What I really want to say is, I don’t know what questions are answered, all I know is how to ask.

How did I forget my water bottle at home?

How did I leave my phone at school?

How did I let them get to me?

How did I win the race?

How are babies made?

How did the judge decide to put that man in jail?

How did our county decide that 10,000 pounds was too much for that road?

Was it our county that decided that 10,000 pounds was too much for that road?

How did our city decide that finishing only a part of the bad road was enough?

How did our state decide which candidate to follow?

How did our country even get this far?

When did we realize this was what worked?

How did we let everything fall into this much chaos?

How did we decide that politics would be more aggressive than war?

How did we decide that the people were wrong about their votes?

How did we repeat what happened in 2016, but with the opposite party?

How did we decide to storm the capital in the middle of a pandemic?

How can we all fix all of this?

How do we stop global warming?

How do we save the next endangered species?

When do we get to relive our childhood?

HOW do we get to relive our childhood?

How do we save ourselves from ourselves?

And when will I stop asking everyone the same things, and getting the same answers?

The author's comments:

This piece was really one of the poems I was most passionate about writing. I don't know why, I just was at the time and I honestly think it could be a bit better in certain areas(such as the beginning), but I'm still proud of it.
