It is devastating knowing that the depression has come and yet denying yourself.

One can never escape from what is coming on the way as they can’t deny what is meant to happen.

Depression is intimidating but also common for it is analogous to sadness known as one of the emotions; slightly worse instead.

When faced with such a thingy, it is up to the person to decide whether it is sadness or depression.

Ask yourself who will answer you with no fibs.

When you sad, do you cry?

When you sad, do you reach out to those you love?

When you sad, do you let that possess you?

When you sad, do you want to be happy?

When you sad, do you ever think about why?

As you recover, are you still that gloomy, abominable and dreadful grumbler who did this to you?

The author's comments:

I wrote this poem after I had a talk from a friend who used to suffer from depression and loneliness. I tried to help him, but he said it was too late. Before he passed away, he told me he has long believed it was the world, the society, the fate that failed him, but, actually he was the one that let himself down. He could have been saved if he had thought about all the things I mention in the poem before things became irreversible. I wrote this poem in honor of my friend and in hopes of helping more poor souls like him find their own remedy.
