An Ode for my Dearest Friend
Dearest friend of mine,
You are so sublime.
The comfort you bring is endless,
During the times I feel restless.
With you, it is safe to close my eyes.
Then the swirls of color begin to harmonize.
They transport me to a world of limitless possibilities
That strikes me with many epiphanies.
Laying under the moonbeam,
I start to realize it’s all a dream.
I let my imagination run wild,
Feeding the mind of my inner child.
Then I wake up to the sun rays hugging my face.
Back to the reality of this dull place.
I would still like to thank my dearest friend of mine,
For always making me feel aligned.
When I rise in the morning, you’re always here,
And come nightfall, I can come to you without any fear.
