Orange Soldiers
Orange leaves flying around the sky like snowflakes,
only they were as soft.
If I caught a leaf in my hand I would close my hand and hear the crunch and watch it fall to the ground in pieces.
The tall trees surrounding the yard made me feel calm,
as if they were my protectors lined up as tiny soldiers ready to fight the enemy.
