Or should I say my most loyal companion 

Never a dull moment 

With you in the picture 

Nala, Princess, Queen

Whatever name fits with the moment

All the days spent running in the soft air and crisp wind

Not a care in the world

Except when we were going to get to eat dinner

Your dark ominous fur with your triangular pointy ears 

Your gentle coat of fur

Is a blanket to cover my chilly skin

You have made it clear that your only intention is to love

By the way, you rest up to your squishy head against mine

And the way your fluffy tail goes into helicopter flight 

When you hear the jingle of my keys

And you cannot contain your utter excitement 

All of the days spent hiking in the mysterious woods

With you as my guardian angel 

Nothing to fear with you by my side

My greatest protector 

Your light shines from miles away 

And your heart always forgives 

If I had all of the peanut butter and whip cream in the world

I would give it to you

If chasing squirrels was considered moral

I would let you do it all day long 

A gentle soul 

As sweet as a cupcake

A heart made of glass

A clever mind 

Firm and fixed on your purpose

Because of you 

I am motivated 

And because of you

I am calm

Cannot think about the fact that you will not live forever
