I walk the school’s congested hallways

As you travel with me from class to class,

I set you down beside my desk

Once the bell rings together we blast.

You are the home to my school supplies

Always keeping me prepared with each strap,

I bring you out every weekday

You are always right there, right on my back.

I walk around with this heavy load

Longing for release,

Thank you for being my helper when my hands are full

Now time to pack up each and every piece.

This poem is about the necessity all students need to survive a school day. What helps me carry my belongings around all the way from home to school.
