How Could You
How could you go from wanting all of me
To wanting none of me
From wanting my mind and body
And heart and soul
To not wanting me at all
The wondering, the questioning, the heartbreak
Is enough to kill me
I long for you and hope for you
But deep down I know
You will never hold me again.

I was inspired to write this piece after I had my heart broken last summer. Poetry is cathartic and really helped me release emotions that I was feeling as I went through this hard time.
