The words roll off your tongue so easily
The same way they did in the past
And when I hear you say those words,
Memories start to climb over the walls I worked so hard to build up
Because of you
I thought you’d say all the things I’d waited months for.
I thought you might want to stay.
I thought you would come back.
I really thought.
