YOU TREAT THEM AS IF
You treat them as if
They have a heart like yours
But not everyone can be
As soft and tender as you
You look for the good
Forgetting all the bad,
And confusing emotions they brought upon you
When they left
But how can you be so empathetic
When they are willing to hurt you
All over again
You are strong,
But not enough to say no
Instead,
You need to have the empathy
You have for others
And be empathetic for yourself
There is a fine line between
Selfish and careful
By being careful it makes you smarter,
And shows that you have taken
The negative emotions,
Crumpled them up in a ball
And have thrown them away with no intent of going back
Because in the end,
Not everyone can be as soft
And tender as you.
