Peak
The brisk air hits my face, I peer downhill.
It had been so long, I had nearly forgotten how it felt.
Gasping for air, catching hints of pine in one single breath.
Gliding through the snow with grace, crashing occasionally.
The sun protruded the thin clouds, keeping me warm in the snow.
Flying down the hill like an avalanche, soon to see the bottom.
Being careful of covering up my face enough, reflections cause sunburn.
Pushing with my feet forwards, to slow myself down.
Gazing at the gorgeous gorge ahead of me, continuing downwards.
There I was, going down, with no sign of stopping.
After reaching the bottom I felt alive, the rush took me away.
Dangerous experiences in nature makes us feel closest to our surroundings.
At a point of realization, I found myself loving our planet.
Feeling connected to Earth, more than before.
A bond to never be broken.
