Ocean Shore
I quickly emerged from the car,
Stretch my legs,
And reach my arms to the sky,
Running towards the shore.
My sleepy eyes
Awakened by the waves.
I consume the warm, fresh air.
The whaling of the seagulls fill my ears
As I gaze at my surroundings.
I take every moment in,
Seeing green palm trees
Blowing in the wind.
The bright blue waves
Crashing onto shore,
Rushing over my feet.
Feeling the coldest sensation.
The bright sun,
Beating on my face.
Soon creating a sunburn.
As my body sank into the warm sand,
I watch as the sun sets
Far in the distance.

I wanted the readers to take away what I was feeling at that moment. I wanted them to visualize everything that happened without them actually being there.
