Have we met before?

I think we have but in a different life.

Because even though I’ve never seen your face before,

I feel like I know you.

I think we’ve known each other for centuries;

But associated each other with different faces.

The way you smile, how you laugh;

It gives me a sense of familiarity and solace.

The way you look at me with those sincere eyes;

I admire them every time we make eye contact.

The way you talk with your delicate voice;

I get the chills whenever I hear it.

For centuries we have been drawn to each other.

But we could never come together –

There was always something that got in the way.

It has happened over and over again.

Will it be different this time? In this lifetime?

Or will we end up just like the past?

We have definitely met before –

Or at least or souls have.
