Dreams Don't Come True
I have many dreams
and I get even more
when I close my eyes
when I doze off for the night.
I dream about my utopia
where people aren’t judged for who they are,
where there are no wars, no hatred-
world peace but that would never happen.
In this world people are rude, racist, sexist,
judge everyone for every little thing
without even knowing them.
Yes, I realize I judge people too
but that’s how we’re programed.
For that reason alone, is why this world will never be perfect
like how Martin Luther King Jr. wanted,
or how I want or anyone else for that matter.
Maybe, just maybe
this world would be better off -
with human kind extinct;
letting nature balance itself out
righting our wrongs.
