This Is for You

For the wounded one,
This is for you:
The pain would come; do not be deceived,
The sprain would source infliction;
from torn ligaments to wrenched cartilages,
The blain would be sore; abscessed and red,
The drain would hurt; like fire like hell.
But it would leave a mark behind; to abstain from cause,
It would deposit a spot; to refrain as 'twice shy',
It would archive a story; for you to train the young,
That when it happened, you fought the pain;
not in vain, but for a gain.
