She Forgot the Promise
Years ago,
we made a promise.
She promised to stay by my side
through thick
and thin.
Through the hardest rain
to the coldest snow.
She forgot the promise.
She ran away,
took the sunshine with her,
took the smile from my face
and the glimmer from my eyes.
Now I don't see bright colors,
all I see is black and white.
The world has gone cold
and my princess is in another castle.
