LONELY TREE

A lone tree sits,
Anxiously awaiting warmth.
Covered in a blanket of snow.
Feeling the cool breeze of speeding cars.
Constant travel of robins,
Broadcast on a spotless sky.
Casting its oblong shadow over asphalt.
Generations of stories to tell.
Patiently waiting another year.
