This is 17
This is 17. You've been out on the roads for a year now, you think you know everything and you're a master driver. You take on more responsibilities. You're still waking up at 6:30 am to finish out your last year of highschool trying to make the most out of the experience
17 is trying to be the “perfect” girl you see in magazines and online.
17 is figuring out who you really want as a friend. Deciding if your friends are even worth fighting for and if not, cutting them out. You decide you’re finally done trying to be friends with the girl who always ditches you to spend time with her boyfriend. You have to sort out the bad ones so that you can continue your journey on a good path. You struggle to make new friends but hope that it’s better than having friends that go behind your back and don’t have your best interest in mind.
17 is trying to find yourself in this crazy world.
17 is going on crazy stupid adventures with your friends on those long enduring summer nights when your mom thinks your just spending the night at your friends house. You let life control you and live in the moment of everything. Spontaneity is your best friend. You do a lot of things that you probably shouldn't have, but you tell yourself that it's ok because now you'll have a fun story to tell your future kids.
17 is finally getting a job and working before you can have fun.
17 is the constant wave of never ending emotions. Anger, sadness, happiness all crashing in at one time and you’re struggling to keep up with everything. Your emotions continue to build up and build up until there's no room left to pile them on. They burst out everywhere, causing even more pain than before.
17 is crying in to your pillow over some stupid guy who never cared about you in the first place.
17 is getting angry at your parents because they won’t let you go out and do what you want. You get irritated when your parents don’t let you get into trouble and just have some fun! Because of that you start to keep everything from your parents, closing them out. Not letting them back in because you’re scared you might get in trouble but you don’t want your fun to stop.
17 is trying to live up to everyones expectations for you, trying to please everyone.
This is 17...Be ready :)
