Life is a Ferris Wheel
Life is defined as,
“the existence of an individual
human being or animal.”
Although the definition of life is basic,
The real thing is quite the opposite.
Life has been compared to many things,
Forrest Gump’s momma told him
it’s like a box of chocolates,
you never know what you’re gonna get.
My own mom once told me that
life is like a game of cards, you have to
play the right hand at the right time.
Although these both are adequate, basic
descriptions of the complexity we all are ownership of,
I feel the best thing to compare life to is a
Ferris wheel.
Hear me out here;
A Ferris wheel goes around and around,
and sometimes we get stuck in one place for a while,
whether it’s on the top of the world or
somewhere near the bottom.
Life can sometimes seem to be stuck on a loop, but
you can always get a new perspective, noticing new, beautiful
things may have went unnoticed before.
Sometimes we get stuck in one spot for a while,
we can be on top of the world
with life going better than it ever has.
Other times, we can be stuck at the bottom,
not getting the complete outlook on life,
feeling like there is nothing out there for us.
You may even be scared of heights,
and when you get to certain parts of the ride,
you close your eyes and hold your breath.
Eventually though, you’ll come around.
You’ll realize that it wasn’t all that bad, and
you may have even missed out on a lot.
Life has its ups and downs,
But in the end,
It’s a ride that everyone should enjoy.
