walk
After days of rain
the sun
emerged once again
as did all of life,
eager to escape its confines.
We walked down the trodden road
looking at dewdrops on yellow petals and the overflowing river,
and as we
waved at drivers
and they
waved back,
you moved to walk between me and the cars.
